In games like Warzone 2, becoming a good sniper is definitely useful to guarantee you a win. And of course, it’s definitely possible for you to one-shot everyone as long as you have the best loadouts with the highest potential damage.
Now that we’re entering the Season 5 Reloaded on Warzone 2, we’ve got more weapon options to choose from, for both the short and long quarters. And yes, you won’t be using sniper only as the different terrains would make it hard to do so. You still have some SMG or other rifle options you can also consider.
In Season 5 alone, we got three new weapons: Pickaxe Melee, 9mm Daemon, and Lanchmann Shroud. Yes, there’s no sniper to be found here, and that’s okay as all snipers are OP anyway.
Back in the day, players were unable to kill using sniper rifles effectively as one single headshot wouldn’t simply do it. This condition, however, changed in Season 3 when it was finally possible to do the singular headshot again. Fortunately, the update stays until Season 5, making the long-ranged rifles even more viable, especially with variants of load-outs you can try.
How To Make Warzone 2 Sniper Rifles One-Shot Kill

To make sure that you get those one-hit headshots, you’ll have to effectively combine your solid sniper rifle with explosive ammunition. As you may know, this type of ammunition is really deadly. It’s definitely possible to make a kill even with just one explosive bullet. Even when you’re not making a headshot, the damage is already terrible enough.
The damage potential was even explained in detail by the developers back in Season 3. They said that adding one-shot sniping may add variety in combat, and the explosive ammunition definitely works.
However, do note that this type of ammunition is far from perfect. It should have some drawbacks, and fortunately, the devs cared about it by balancing things out. Although explosive ammo can deliver higher damage, it won’t work as efficiently when used to deal long-range damage. The bullet velocity will be lost, causing less precision.
Other than the ammo, you also need to focus on the rifles. To be able to kill enemies with one hit, you may consider using some notable options, like FJX Imperium, MCPR-300, or Victus XMR. Combine it with a nice scope, and you’re good to hunt.
Although it doesn’t have any relevance with one-shot sniper kill, it’s definitely important for you to be more serious in dealing with safety. As you’ll be playing online a lot, we highly recommend using a gaming virtual private network. VPN for gaming usually is used to prevent DDoS attacks, which can be terrible for the victims. So, to prevent anything bad from happening, you can always depend on this tool.
Best Scopes to Use
Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 have provided many excellent options for snipers. From sniper rifles like the SP-R 208 to full-fledged sniper rifles like the SP-X 80, there’s no shortage of weapons to take out your opponents with just one bullet.
The choice of sights for your sniper rifle plays a big role in how your weapon is used. The reticulum and sight image can affect how accurately you hit the target and some sights can even give you an edge by taking bullet drop into account.
Here are some of the best sniper scopes that can be used in this game. What are the best sniper scopes? Here’s the review.
Raptor-FVM40
This is one of the best sniper aiming tools for Warzone 2.0.
This site is equipped with an integrated distance reader, which displays the distance to your target. Additionally, the red dot on the sight will move downwards with distance to help compensate for bullet drop, so all you need to do is adjust the reticulum.
For stationary targets, this means you don’t need to shoot higher and simply place the reticulum on your target, as is usually done.
With 13.0X magnification, you will be able to eliminate opponents from various corners of the map in Al Mazrah. The only downside is the huge sniper flash, which can give away your location to enemies.
SP-X 80 6.6X
The SP-X 80 has one of the cleanest sniper shots in the game. It’s well suited for mid to long-range combat, and nimble enough for quick scoping.
In fact, a fairly modest magnification of around 6.6X means that you shouldn’t have much to lose even if your opponents are quite close. And if you need higher magnification, there’s a toggle option that lets you zoom up to 11.0X, making it a very flexible sight.
There are also useful mil points on this sight to measure bullet drops for better precision.
Forge Tac Delta 4
For the smaller core 6v6 maps in multiplayer mode, the Forge Tac Delta 4 is a great aiming tool option.
The 5.5X magnification comes with increased travel speed on aiming and down-sight speed compared to the default sights on most sniper rifles. This is especially important when dealing with close-range combat, ensuring you don’t get caught in the narrow field of view that higher magnification sights typically have.
The sights are also very clean, with a thin frame and a simple red dot reticulum. These sights are also suitable for use on light sniper rifles and are a big improvement over the default iron sights. The best part is that the sniper flash is so small, almost invisible, that it won’t give away your location to anyone in your general direction.
