The prototype is an open world action-adventure video game. The prototype is an open-world action-adventure game, developed by Radical Entertainment and published by Activision. Prototype 1 includes Alexander J. Mercer. Alexander wakes up in a morgue the basement of Gentek, a genetic engineering company which was based in Manhattan, sends their scientists to perform an autopsy. Meanwhile, scientists were gunned down by the military operatives, Alex escaped from there, was wounded and was surviving from bullets fired in his chest. Soon he realizes that he possesses powerful shapeshifting abilities, with some superhuman strength, durability, speed, agility, senses, endurance, weaponry and mainly the ability to “consume” people to gain their memories, skills, and appearance. All this apart Alex was not happy from all this and wants a normal life back, so he starts finding who & why did they do this to him. It was released on June 9, 2009, on different platforms PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows for PC games, Xbox One.
