The city of Khorinis is in a state of civil war and the player in this game faces different enemies to kill. The nameless hero as a player in the game struggles to fight and defend himself from enemies. The game unlocks further missions after completion of a mission. The game is featured with castles, dungeons, and temples. The storyline of the game informs the player that the people of Khorinis preach three gods Beliar (the god of darkness and evil), Innos (the god of fire and good) and Adanos (the god of water and balance).
